Sunshine Skyway Bridge

A photo taken at the South end of the bridge on the edge of the embankment.  The water had an exceptional dark blue to it this day.

Sunshine Skyway Bridge

Oh yes, the longest pier in the world is a pleasure to shoot on a day like this one.  It runs for about 2.5 miles and has two lanes, one going out, and one coming back to shore.

Sunshine Skyway Bridge

From the other side of the pier, heading back towards shore, South that is, you can get a feel from this photo of the greatness of both the bridge and South pier.

As we head further South along the pier the bridge takes on a different look and appears to have two poles in the middle.

Another shot taken from the South end of the bridge up on the embankment.  This day the bridge was populated with birds everywhere.  A really good feeling after the hurricane season that about wiped us all out.

Sunshine Skyway Bridge

One of my favorite angle shots of the bridge showing how it wraps around to the East to touch shore again.  The whole pier had birds lined up watching the fishing and waiting to grab whatever the fishermen did not want.

A little closer view of the bridge from the West side of the pier looking East.
