The American Alligator

The American Alligator is a favorite of mine, and this year there has been plenty to photograph.  Just about everyday we would spot one or two along the shores edge.  This fellow was back in a cove, just below a small mound that kept him hidden.

The Mallard Duck

This Mallard Duck just kept following me around, expecting some food, I guess.  She just kept getting closer until she was just too close to get a focus anymore.

Florida Flowers

I saw this growing in my neighbors yard and still have no idea the name of the flower.  It's about six inches across, and one of the largest flowers I've seen.

Sunshine Skyway Bridge

The Sunshine Skyway Bridge is located South of St. Petersburg and Tampa, about 20 miles and is one of the most beautiful sites to visit in Florida.

Tampa

Tampa, taken from the South side of the city on the Hillsborough River.  I love Tampa from a distance.

The Great Blue Heron

This Great Blue Heron was just taking off as I turned, and was just lucky in getting the photo.  The wing spread is just enormous.

Mule Deer

Normally there are few Mule Deer in the middle of the state.  In the North there are large herds that line the roads at night, but down here there is just too many people that ruin their habitat.

The American Alligator

This fellow was just stretching his muscles. I have a lot of respect for the Alligator and take special care in photographing them.

Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay is East of the Skyway Bridge and this photo was taken just North of the bridge.

St. Petersbur's, The Pier

St. Petersburg's, The Prier, shooting out into Tampa Bay about a half mile.
