The Sunshine Skyway Bridge is located South of St. Petersburg, Florida
about ten miles. The bridge runs from shore to shore about five
miles and gives some of the most beautiful views one will find in Florida.

A wide angle view of the Skyway Bridge from the South Pier.
The Bridge starts South, and then raps a full 90 degrees heading East when
it touches land.

This day at the bridge was a little chilly, and as the bird appears to be feeling the cold wind,
so was I.

There are two piers that run along side the Skyway Bridge, the South Pier
is about 1.5 miles long, and the North Pier is about .5 miles long. Both
were salvaged from the old bridge some years ago.

A view of the highest point on the Skyway Bridge where all the boats and ships cross
under the bridge. At sunset the Bridge turns gold as can be seen in
the gallery photos.

On the piers and around them is a favorite fishing place
for most of the locals and tourist.
You can see the pelicans following the boats hoping for a freebee.
