The Skyway Bridge North Pier

The North Pier is one of the longest piers in the world.  It has parking all along the pier and restrooms as well.  At the end of the pier is a small bait shop and refreshments shop.  Whether you are plan on fishing, site seeing, or taking a few photos of the bridge, it's a must stop for all.

Sunshine Skyway Bridge

A wide angle shot of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge taken from the North Pier.  The haze can be a real problem, as well as, the weather.  On this day the haze could be cut with a knife.

Chestnut Park

I have over 700 shots of alligators, but I just can not pass a good shot up.  This shot was taken just as this guy was crawling up on the shore at Chestnut Park.  Note the smile on this guys face, looking forward to a nice day in the sun, and playing with the passer buyers.

This shot is one of its kind, for you can see the eye ball and coldness that impacts on you when viewing.  I shoot very close to most of the alligators for most are use to visitors in the park, but my eyes are always on their feet watching for the pulling them under him.

This photo was taken from the North Pier on the east side at the entrance.  I always like this view for it shows both the pier and the bridge.

Chestnut Park

This is one of my most visited parks in Florida, for it always has alligators on the banks, but it also has some of the most beautiful shots one can find.  It changes daily, with the sometimes algae thick and green, and then some days it's clear like this one.

Now this guy really meant business, and from the outset I could tell he was not one for playing around, not to mention he was very large.  That "strip" you see in alligator's mouth is the strap from my camera (:>).
