Sailing is very popular around the St. Pete area as you can see from the two areas for parking, yachts and other crafts, the North and the South Basins.

This photo was shot from the land adjoining the Albert Whitted Airport located downtown. They open the parking lot next to the airport for those who wish to fish or walk along the water front. This day I was the only one present. Just too hot and humid for most.

This shows the water front and the Bayfront Center at the left with the orange canopy. Note the small park with the water fall which has flowers and seating around the falls. Great place to rest a few minutes from the heat.

A little closer look at the St. Petersburg Skyline. St. Pete is not a busy downtown, and the Bay Walk that runs the full length of the downtown area is a great place for a nice stroll. Not a lot of people around, so you can enjoy the view in solitude.

It's surprising that more boats were not out for the day, but the summer heat and humidity can keep many inside. As I was taking these photos the sweat was running into my eyes from the humid weather.

Closer view of the downtown buildings. The building on the right are condos and most who live there also have slips at the North and South Basins.

The famous Bay Walk that runs from the Albert Whitted Airport to "The Pier" that is located downtown St. Pete. The walk has much too see along the way.
