Mule Deer  (click on photo for larger view)

I photographed these mule deer just inside the Chestnut Park.  They seem to no longer fear the humans around them, but continue eating, paying little attention to us.

Osprey

The Osprey has a very load "chirping" sound and stands out as he moves from one location to another.

Great Blue Heron 

The Great Blue Heron is very large bird, and hangs around the edges of streams and lakes feeding on fish and small insects.

Small Lake

A small beautiful little lake at Chestnut Park located about 20 miles West of Tampa and just North of Clearwater.

The American Alligator

Small American Alligator laying alongside a small stream that is covered with algae.

The Osprey is one of my favorite wildlife to photograph with its piercing eyes and skill at catching fish.  They can just hover over the water as they target their next meal.

Green Heron

The Green Heron is a small bird but has such a odd looking head.  Make sure you see the monthly gallery photos for more of the same.

The Red-Shouldered Hawk

This beautiful Red-Shouldered Hawk is another one of my favorites to photograph.  It will go anywhere including the ground to get its meal.  They also like to feed out of another birds nest.

Green Heron
