Chestnut Park

This photo was taken in Chestnut Park, about 20 miles from Tampa, Florida.  This area of the park is a swamp area, and one of my favorite places to visit.  It's not unusual to find alligators laying along the shore line getting a little sun.  See more photos of Chestnut Park.

Small River Along the Bank

This photo was taken on a very beautiful day in Chestnut Park.  Tarpon Lake is located about 20 miles from Tampa, Florida.  At the south-east end of the lake is where Chestnut Park is located.

Small Little Guy

This is a small little fellow, and was interested in just what I was up to.  Raised up to let me know he considered this an invasion of his private space and privacy.

Getting a Little Sun

I caught this fellow snoozing on the bank of a small river lake in Chestnut Park.  He is of good size, about 13 foot.

Chestnut Park

This river runs along, and throughout the park, and culminates in a lovely picnic area on a small peninsula.

Honeymoon Island

A beautiful view of a small lake and the lovely beach bordering the Gulf side at Honeymoon Island.  The Gulf of Mexico is just a stone throw to the left.
