Howard Park Beach

The Great Blue Heron

A Great Blue Heron setting at the top a tree just a short distance from her nest.  Normally they are found around the edges of the streams and lakes, and not up in the trees.

Mallard Ducks

These two female Mallard ducks are just out cruising a small lake in Chestnut Park.

The American Alligator

For me there is nothing better then photographing the American alligator in its natural habitat.

Howard Park Beach

Howard Park is located on the West side of Tarpon Springs North-west of Tampa.  This causeway leads out to the beach area that forms a "T" shape.  Really a great beach and causeway.

Osprey

Osprey setting in the tree taking in the comings and goings of the humans below. They normally stay at the top of the tree they are in, and not so close to the ground area.

Mallard Ducks

A male and female Mallard ducks along side this small lake at Chestnut Park.

Yellow Crowned Night Heron

A beautiful Yellow Crowned Night Heron setting in a thicket that I had to crawl to.  Then just as I was about to snap a shot, he would jump to another limb, just out of sight.  This went for about five minutes before I got the this shot.

The American Alligator

I found these two American Alligators along side a small stream getting a little sun at mid-day.
